Details of the application

Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Medway catchment.

The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 61 litres per second
  • 219 cubic metres an hour
  • 899 cubic metres a day
  • 220,146 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TQ 79687 72308.
  • from abstraction location Kingsnorth Quarry

The water will be used for Mineral Washing.
