Robert Greenow has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 18/54/04/0577 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Tern between National Grid References (NGRs) SJ 633 202 and SJ 638 208.
The variation applied for is to abstract water from a new reach from the River Tern between NGRs SJ 63326 20204 and SJ 63083 19462.
The variation is to abstract the additional water from the new reach as follows:
- 482 cubic metres per day
- 37,114 cubic metres per year
- At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 51 litres per second
- between March and September inclusive in each year.
The water will be abstracted via a pump for Agricultural purposes.
