The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Recorra Limited.
The proposed variation changes a standard rules permit into a bespoke permit.

Regulated facility type
The application is to vary the existing SR2008 No14 and SR2008 no23 into bespoke equivalents of themselves. The permit boundary will be increased and multiple EWC codes will be added to the permit. The WEEE ATF operation will reduce from 75,000 to 25,000 tonner per year. two standard rules sets, SR2008 no 14 and SR2008 no 23 to bespoke equivalents, adding some wastes including those from the S2 exemption and increasing the permit boundary. Risks from the operations should not be increasing significantly as the WEEE activity will be reducing annual through put 25,000 tonnes. But there will be multiple aspects to assess and check – management plans and ensure requirements are present for updating WEEE ATF (Authorised Treatment Facility) to a bespoke equivalent, and storage of new wastes.
