Details of the application
The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from AWE plc.
The application contains a description of the proposed changes to:
- disposals of radioactive waste
The application is to amend the description of permitted disposal outlets to remove current restrictions which only allow disposals of radioactive gaseous waste to air from premises that are located on the part of the site that is licensed under the Nuclear Installations Act 1965.
