Notes
These valuation reports have been prepared under HM Treasury’s The Public Service Pensions (Valuations and Employer Cost Cap) Directions 2023 as amended by The Public Service Pensions (Valuations and Employer Cost Cap) (Amendment) Directions 2026. The valuations tested the cost control mechanism for all the schemes and for the unfunded pension schemes informed the contribution rates to be paid into the schemes by employers between 1 April 2027 and 31 March 2031.
The reports for the funded Local Government Pension Scheme England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland reflect that employer contributions are set in local fund valuations, not by the Government Actuary’s Department valuation under either the HM Treasury or Department of Finance directions.
