The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Quercia Limited.

The site has a waste operation permit and is currently permitted to accept a wide range of non-hazardous waste for treatment but are looking to vary the permit to add a listed activity - an installation for treatment of >10tonnes/day of hazardous waste which falls under Section 5.3 Disposal or Recovery of Hazardous waste Part (A) 1a(ii) - physico-chemical treatment.
