Poultry meat: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export poultry meat to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Poultry meat exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificates GBHC074X and GBHC330

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC074X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC330 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC330 from 31 January 2024.

Model health certificate for meat of poultry (Regulation 798/2008) (POU).

Certificates GBHC077X and GBHC331

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC077X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC331 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC331 from 31 January 2024.

Model health certificate for transit and storage of specified pathogen-free eggs, meat, minced meat and mechanically separated meat of poultry, ratites and wild game-birds, eggs and egg products (Regulation 798/2008) (POU-T).

  1. We have updated certificates GBHC330 and GBHC331. We have also updated the 'use from' dates for certificates GBHC330 and GBHC331. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024.Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  2. We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  3. We have updated the approval dates for GBHC074E version 3.0 and GBHC074X version 3.1. They will now be accepted until 17 September 2023.

  4. Uploaded updated versions of certificate 74E and 74X. Updated version history.

  5. Multiple changes have been made: 1. Amended the version history notes for certificates GBHC074E, GBHC074X, GBHC077E and GBHC077X. The previous version of each certificate will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023. 2. Corrected certificate GBHC077E – version 1.1 was still available. Replaced with v3.0.

  6. Uploaded new versions of GBHC074E & GBHC077E and updated the version history.

  7. Uploaded updated version of model health certificate GBHC077X.

  8. Certificate GBHC074X has been updated.

  9. Certificates GBHC074E and GBHC077E should now be used from 31 December 2023. They were previously due to come into effect on 1 July 2022.

  10. We've updated certificates GBHC074X and GBHC077X.

  11. Updated the following poultry meat model health certificates: Poultry meat from non-EU countries (798/2008 GBHC074X) and Poultry meat from EU 798/2008 (GBHC074E).

  12. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  13. Changed the date that some of the certificates should be used to 1 July 2022

  14. Updated the certificate poultry meat from non-EU countries 798/2008 GBHC074X.

  15. Edited certificate 798/2008 GBHC074E and certificate UK-HC-077-E - these will now come into use 1 October 2021.
