Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Bridge Farm Nurseries Limited.

Regulated facility type

The permit will allow the operator to operate one medium combustion plant fired on gas oil with a net rated thermal input of 8.75MWth and one waste biomass incineration plant comprising three boilers with aggregated net rated thermal input of 25.57MWth. Only two of the biomass boilers are new to the permit, the other biomass boiler and the gas oil boiler are both existing.

All units are operated for the purpose of space heating for the on-site greenhouses.
