Who is eligible for vaccination?

  • all individuals born between 01/09/2007 and 31/08/2008 (school Year 13 age group in the academic year 2025/26)

  • individuals turning 25 years of age on or after 21/07/2026 (born on or after 21/07/2001) and are due to start undergraduate higher education in autumn 2026. This includes international students and those from the UK Devolved Administrations and Crown Dependencies

  • individuals turning 25 years of age on or after 21/07/2026 (born on or after 21/07/2001) who are starting in further education for the first time in autumn 2026 and will be living at further education accommodation. This includes international students and those from the UK Devolved Administrations and Crown Dependencies.

Who is not eligible?

  • those aged less than 25 years, who are not entering HERFE for the first in the Autumn term 2026, and fall outside the current Year 13 age group specified above

  • postgraduates and other students who are not entering HERFE for the first time in the Autumn term of 2026

  • those who have completed a 2-dose course of Bexsero® within the last 5 years

  • those who have completed a 2-dose (provided those doses were given at least 6 months apart) or 3-dose course of Trumenba® within the last 5 years

  • Yes, you are eligible.

  • No, move to question 2.

2. Are you starting university for the first time in Autumn 2026?

  • Yes, move to question 4.

  • No, move to question 3.

3. Are you starting at a

Further Education college for the first time in Autumn 2026?

  • Yes, move to question 5.

  • No, you are not eligible.

4. Will you be a residential student at one of these FE settings?

Check if your FE college is on the eligible list

  • Yes, move to question 5.

  • No, you are not eligible.

5. Is your date of birth on or after 21 July 2001?

  • Yes

  • No, no you are not eligible.

Yes, you are eligible for up to 2 doses of the MenB vaccine from the NHS

If you answered yes To question 1 or to questions 2 and 5, or 3, 4 and 5 you are eligible for the MenB vaccine course from the NHS.

No, you are not eligible for 2 doses of the MenB vaccine from the NHS
