Detail

The Secretary of State for Transport has decided to not make references to the Competition Commission in respect of mandatory airport charge conditions for:

  • Heathrow airport
  • Gatwick airport
  • Stansted airport

The reasons for this are set out in a letter to consultee respondents. A formal direction to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is set out in the Secretary of State’s letter to CAA.
