I would like to make the following request for information. I would like to know:
DBS checks: 1. - I would like to know the total number of DBS checks dispatched for the financial years 11/12, 12/13 and 13/14 (to date). I would like these broken down into standard and enhanced DBS checks; and checks on volunteers and non-volunteers.
- The proportion of DBS checks which contain local police information? Please provide statistics for the year 2013 (jan-dec).
DBS caseworkers: 3. - How many DBS caseworkers are there? What are the qualifications for DBS caseworkers? (That is, are there any required areas of professional expertise, eg, experience in the teaching or care profession; experience in dealing with sex offenders; other degree or professional qualifications required. Specifically, is a university degree required?)
Update service: 4. - What is the number of subscribers to date to the ‘update service’, broken down into volunteers and non-volunteers?
- Is the ‘update service’ using software designed to use for the VBS database?
