This improvement notice requires North East Lincolnshire Council to take steps to improve its children’s social care services.
It follows a 2019 Focused Visit letter by Ofsted which judged there to be significant weaknesses in the quality of services for children in need and those in need of help and protection.
The above letter has been issued to North East Lincolnshire Council. It outlines the principles which the Department for Education has agreed in response to a request for flexibilities from the local authority to enable it to deliver the requirements of its improvement notice, while responding to the challenges of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
