Government guidance can be found online in relation to wine exports (Opens in a new window) and in relation to wine importation and labelling (Opens in a new window). This guidance sets out the rules for wine importers, exporters, producers, retailers and distributors.
The UK removed VI-1 certification for all wine imports as of 1 January 2022. Please note that if you intend to re-export non-EU wines from the UK, the original VI-1 document and a copy will need to accompany the UK pro-forma VI-1.
