Ian Morris and Sarah Morris trading as C Morris & Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from an unnamed tributary of the Lime Brook (locally known as Birtley Stream) at Lingen, Bucknell, Shropshire, between National Grid References SO 36941 67879 and SO 36846 67504.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 14 litres per second
- 50 cubic metres an hour
- 500 cubic metres a day
- 10,000 cubic metres a year
- between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
