Details

The Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) was a limited £10 million capital grant fund open to organisations in the public, private, and third sectors in England.

It was designed to assist in the transition between the Heat Network Investment Project (HNIP), which has its final year in 2021 to 2022, and the replacement GHNF which launched in March 2022.

The scheme provided capital grants to assist in the commercialisation of low and zero-carbon heat network projects, so they would be ready to apply for construction funding in the first year of the GHNF.

Transition Scheme projects

The Transition Scheme had 2 application rounds in July and October 2021. We will announce the projects to receive support under the scheme in the spring of 2022.
