Gosport Independent Panel report: government response
The government has published its response to the report of the Gosport Independent Panel into what happened at Gosport War Memorial Hospital.

Details
The response sets out a number of measures that have been put in place since the events described in the report, which took place between the late 1980s and 2001. These include stronger measures to ensure the safety of controlled drugs, and an independent, clinically led inspectorate.
The response document also describes future changes following the panel’s report, including measures to protect whistleblowers and the introduction of medical examiners.
