Detail

FOI: 1065

I wondered if you had done any analysis on the DBS and its “success”. I would like to find out if there has been a correlation in reduction of unsuitable people working within vulnerable groups? I would be keen to find out if you hold information relating to the former CRB/ISA data too. I would also be interested to find out what percentage of enquires return a positive result.

Clarified:

Positive Result; by Positive Result I am inferring that the search has correctly captured someone’s criminal record for an employer e.g. they can see that someone has had some form of criminal warning etc. Preferably in Excel (.csv is fine), since 2002.

In regards to your final point regarding the number of people that have been barred from working with children or adults over periods of time, that would be excellent. Ideally it would be great to see those stats broken down by year.
