Feldale Internal Drainage Board (IDB) has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Nene catchment.
The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:
- at an instantaneous rate of 109 litres per second
- 393 cubic metres an hour
- 9,426 cubic metres a day
- 1,979,523 cubic metres a year
- between 01 April and 30 November inclusive in each year
- at National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 30120 99059
- from abstraction location Morton’s Leam at Feldale Pumping Station, Coates, Whittlesey, Peteborough.
The water will be used for transfer for the purpose of IDB functions.
