F G Tansley and Son: application made to abstract water

F G Tansley and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a reach of the Postland Main Drain within the North Level Internal Drainage District between Nation Grid References TF 25471 11555 and TF 24681 13062.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 172.8 cubic metres an hour
- 4,000 cubic metres a day
- 50,000 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.
The licence would be aggregated with two other licences held by FG Tansley and Son, which authorise abstraction from the River Welland, New River and drains in Holland and Deepings IDB. The water will be used for spray irrigation.
