Details of the application

EPC United Kingdom PLC has applied to the Environment Agency for two licences.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of these applications in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

Application number NPS/WR/032072 is for a full licence to abstract water from an unnamed drain near Great Oakley at National Grid Reference (NGR) TM 20954 26844.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 22 cubic metres an hour
  • 172 cubic metres a day
  • 15,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 October and 31 March inclusive in each year.

Application number NPS/WR/032074 is for a full licence to abstract water from an unnamed drain near Great Oakley at NGR TM 20141 25353.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 54 cubic metres an hour
  • 430 cubic metres a day
  • 15,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 October and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water for both applications will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
