This guidance helps you determine if the position you’re recruiting for is eligible for a Standard, Enhanced or Enhanced with Barred List DBS Check in the Other workforce.
These are roles that do not in any way relate to working with children or adults but are still eligible for a Standard or Enhanced/Enhanced with Barred list check due to access to sensitive information, settings, or responsibilities.

If the criteria are not met for a Standard, Enhanced, or Enhanced with Barred List DBS check, the role can obtain a Basic DBS check.
