Details

MHCLG secured £10 million for domestic abuse safe accommodation charities as part of a £76 million government package of support to charities supporting vulnerable people including domestic abuse victims.

The fund closed on 20 July and final assessments have been made on the bids received.

On 16 September we announced the results of the final stage of the fund, with an additional £971,207 allocated to 25 successful charity bids. This will re-open a further 45 bedspaces and create an additional 253 bedspaces.

Overall, the £10 million Domestic Abuse COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund is providing £9.7 million to 147 charity bids, supporting 166 organisations including consortium partners. In total the fund will also re-open up to 344 bedspaces that were closed due to COVID-19 and will create up to 1,546 additional bedspaces.

Over a third of those who were successful in their applications were specialist service providers, supporting diverse groups. This fund will protect this critical provision.

The list of successful bidders for the final stage and all previous stages can be found above.
