Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Rolls-Royce Submarines Limited.

The application contains a description of the proposed changes to:

  • the addition of new disposal outlets for aqueous wastes to sewer
  • the addition of disposal limits for new groups of radionuclides
  • the “operating techniques to protect the environment and optimise the protection of people”
  • the site plan for the NFPP
  • the limit of specified activities
