DCMS register of board member interests: April 2024 - March 2025
Published 15 July 2026
In addition to the Department’s standing requirement for all staff to discuss potential conflicts of interest with their line manager, departmental board members are required to publish on an annual basis their interests or family members’ interests that are relevant to the work of the department to meet the requirements set out in the declaration and management of outside interests in the Civil Service.
This list covers executive and non-executive members of all DCMS Boards as of March 2025. The list will be updated annually to reflect significant changes in the interests of DCMS’ board members. The Cabinet Office publishes ministers’ interests.
Declared interests are based on a member’s judgement of what might form a perceived, potential or actual conflict of interest, as described in the declaration and management of outside interests in the Civil Service. All member’s interests are reviewed by the Permanent Secretary to ensure appropriate agreements and restrictions are in place to mitigate the impact of any conflict of interests on the board member’s judgement in performing their functions and obligations.
At the beginning of every Departmental Board meeting, all members are required to declare their interests. Where a board member declares a potential conflict at meetings, it is recorded in the minutes and the board member takes no part in the meeting for the duration of that item of discussion to ensure the conflict does not affect departmental decision making.
