Please provide all correspondence, minuted meetings etc between the Disclosure and Barring Service and the MOD regarding military Convictions and a criminal records. An exemption from disclosure under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act for Armed Forces is being considered.
It seems that Service personnel may be unaware that they have criminal convictions, and only discover them upon undertaking CRB checks.
The MoD is currently considering amendments to the rehabilitation of offenders act.
There are certain military punishments not under RoA may still be disclosed.
Have you encountered any of these issues and if so can you provide me with a copy of any action taken.
