Details

  1. The number of DBS checks from 1 September 2012 until 31 May 2013. I would like this broken down by volunteers/non-volunteers please.

  2. The number of CRB checks from 1 September 2011 until 31 May 2012, also broken down by volunteers/non-volunteers.

  3. The CRB carries out an annual Mori study, to find out the number of ‘unsuitable people’ who have been prevented from working with children as a result of a CRB check. This figure is regularly provided to the press (e.g., BBC: ‘In March 2012, new figures from the criminal records bureau revealed the checks had prevented more than 130,000 unsuitable people, including rapists and paedophiles, from working with children or vulnerable groups.’) I would like to see the past three Mori reports please, showing the full research on which these figures are based.

  4. I would like to know the number of people currently on the children and adults’ barred lists. I would like to know the number of people, currently on the barred list, who have been placed on the list as a result of an automatic bar (with and without the right to make representations).

  5. I would like the number of CRB/DBS checks in the financial year 2012-13, broken down by volunteers and non-volunteers. Please specify the number of these checks which returned criminal records information; and, also, the number of checks which returned saying that the person was on the barred list.

  6. I would like a list of all registered bodies and umbrella bodies, including the number of Disclosures submitted over the financial year 2012-13.
