The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 (that does not involve substantial change) from Anglian Water Services Limited.

Application to temporarily reduce the flow which is passed to full treatment at the works (from 317 l/s to 158.5 l/s). This is to allow capital improvements at the works to improve future effluent quality. The expected duration of the relaxation is between 1 February and 30 April 2015. As a permanent measure in order to improve effluent quality the incoming sewage will also be dosed with ferric sulphate.
