The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Chelmsford City Council.

Regulated facility type
Hazardous Waste Transfer Station and a waste Physical Treatment Facility (non-hazardous). The operator, Chelmsford City Council, wish to store waste collected by its own waste and recycling operational services team. This includes waste materials picked up as part of the municipal collection service, street sweepings and fly tipped material. They propose an annual throughput of less than 12,000 tonnes per year.
