Details
Works will consist of brickwork repairs and repointing to Clifton Hampden Bridge.
Works in the watercourse will be completed from works pontoon with scaffold towers affixed to these.
Bridge arches only to be closed when work is commencing on them or if they are unsafe to pass under during curing periods.
Navigation will be restricted through the bridge during the dates outlined above.
A minimum of one of the navigation arches will remain open and unobstructed at all times.
Additionally, banksmen will be advising boaters of temporary closures during this period. Masters are requested to obey instructions given by the contractor’s banksmen.
Masters are responsible for the craft and crews’ safety at all times, and should familiarise their crew with the closure, when navigating within the Days reach.
