Details of the application

CEMEX UK Materials Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Hampshire Avon catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 83 litres per second
  • 300 cubic metres an hour
  • 3,000 cubic metres a day
  • 750,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGRs) SU 13090 11101, SU 13117 11103, SU 13145 10986 and SU 13112 10975

The water will be used for Mineral washing.
