CEMEX UK Materials Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Witham catchment.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:
- at an instantaneous rate of 119.6 litres per second
- 430 cubic metres an hour
- 4,304 cubic metres a day
- 835,921 cubic metres a year
- all year
- at National Grid Reference TF 20538 59566
- from abstraction location underground strata comprising sands and gravels at Tattershall Quarry.
The water will be used for Mineral washing.
