There has been a failure of the hydraulic system at Caversham Lock.
The hydraulic pipe work on the head lock gates at Caversham Lock has failed in an area that is inaccessible. We are working to find a safe method to replace the pipe work and re-open the lock as soon as we can.
We apologise for any inconvenience these emergency works cause and thank you for your patience during this time.
