Travel carriers can apply for approved gate check (AGC) status. AGC status means that they will not have to pay certain charges should they transport a passenger who does not hold adequate documents.

‘Approved gate check (AGC) status: a guide for carriers’ explains:

  • what carriers need to do to get AGC status
  • how to apply
  • what to expect from a Home Office AGC inspection

To apply for new AGC status, or following the cancellation of AGC status on grounds of performance, fill in the ‘Application for approved gate status’.

To apply following the suspension of AGC status on the grounds of non-operation of a route, fill in the ‘Reapplication for approved gate status following suspension of operation’.
