The Minister of State for Local Government and Homelessness (the Minister), in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003, makes the following determination:

Citation

1. This determination may be sighted as the Adjustment Support Grant Determination (2026-27): 31/8381

Purpose of the Grant

2. The purpose of the grant is to provide one-off protection for local authorities who would otherwise see their Core Spending Power reduce in 2026-27, compared to their indicative provisional Settlement allocations. This funding is un-ringfenced.

Determination

3. The Minister determines the authorities to which grant is to be paid and the amount of grant to be paid as set out in Annex A of this determination.

4. Payment of the grant will be made in instalments through the 2026-27 financial year.

5. Before making this determination in relation to local authorities in England, the Minister obtained the consent of the Treasury.
