Peter is the Chief People Officer at the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Peter took on this role at the DBS in November 2015.

Some of the Chief People Officer responsibilities include:
- reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), delivering leadership resilience and developing people practices, including talent management, welfare and culture
- implementing a strategy to ensure succession planning by conducting an annual engagement survey and monitoring quarterly
- developing and delivering the people strategy which includes the elements of workforce resourcing, employee relations, learning and facilities
