Lucinda Bolton is a former executive director of an investment bank and has held a number of public, private and voluntary sector non-executive directorships. With a strong private sector background, she has wide experience in the health sector. Between 2004 and 2010, she was a member of the NHS Pay Review Body. She is a former Chair of Hammersmith and Fulham PCT and, before that, of Riverside Community Healthcare NHS Trust; and a former board member of the NHS Information Centre and its successor body, the Health and Social Care Information Centre.

The Member of the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration is independent. Its role is to make recommendations to the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State for Health, the First Minister and the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing of the Scottish Parliament, the First Minister and the Minister for Health and Social Services in the Welsh Assembly Government and the First Minister, Deputy First Minister and Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety of the Northern Ireland Executive on the remuneration of doctors and dentists taking any part in the National Health Service.
