Biography

Alison is an experienced non-executive director and chair, who works with public sector organisations undergoing transition and change.

Her executive background is in business, where she qualified as an accountant and MBA. Alison led operations and commercial business for the Royal Mail Group and then for the next 5 years, she was an interim Chief Executive for a range of businesses going through change.

Alison now has a portfolio of public appointments, including her roles as:

• chair of the General Osteopathic Council

• chair of the Architects Registration Board

• lead non-executive director for the Wales Office

In these roles her strong strategic, financial and commercial skills are blended with expertise in corporate governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, board accountability, proportionate regulation and the transformation of organisational performance.

Alison chairs GAD’s Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
