The Charity Commission is working with the Ethical Property Foundation (EPF) to identify the key issues that are currently affecting charities in England and Wales with regard to the property that they own, lease or rent.

In particular the commission and the EPF would like to know:

  • which issues are most significant
  • who they affect
  • whether your organisation has the capacity to deal with them
  • the costs incurred in doing so

The survey is a unique chance for everyone who works in the non-profit sector in England and Wales to have their voice heard when it comes to property issues affecting their organisation.

Property costs are the second largest budget cost for charities and the 2014 Charity Property Matters Survey showed that close to half of non-profit organisations consider their property to be their biggest risk.

The results of the survey will be used by the EPF to develop tailored guidance and support on property matters for charities.

Please take 5 minutes to complete the survey.
