Charity Commission to hold public meeting in Norwich
Commission invites charities, trustees and their advisers to attend its Public Meeting on 2 December 2014.
The Charity Commission, the independent regulator of charities in England and Wales, in partnership with Voluntary Norfolk, is inviting trustees, charities and charity advisers to attend its next free public meeting in Norwich on Tuesday 2 December 2014.
Attendees at the meeting will hear presentations in sessions from senior staff about:
- recruiting trustees and how we can help more people to become trustees with the right skills, experience and responsibilities
- financial accountability session
- a practical workshop session that will include scenarios on protecting your charity from harm
The event is primarily of interest to trustees of charities in the Norfolk area, however, it is also suitable for staff members and charity advisers.
The meeting will take place at St Clements House, Norwich, NR3 1BQ between 11am and 2pm and will include a buffet lunch.
