As of 1 July 2018, the newly enlarged trust will be called University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
Monitor has taken action, under the new licence for providers, to ensure that the Trust deals with the continuing issues it faces.
22 October 2015: The trust was removed from Special Measures in recognition of the improvements that have been made on behalf of its patients. Monitor issued ain respect of the trust’s Enforcement Undertakings accepted by Monitor on 6 August 2013 regarding the Keogh Review Plan, in their entirety.
The trust’s Enforcement Undertakings accepted by Monitor on 23 April 2013, regarding finances and governance, will remain in place. The additional licence condition imposed by Monitor on 6 August 2013 will also remain in place.
16 July 2013: The trust was served notice that it was to be put in special measures to fix failings in patient care and hospital governance identified by Prof Sir Bruce Keogh.
