The National Energy Efficiency Data-Framework (NEED) was set up to provide a better understanding of energy use and energy efficiency in domestic and non-domestic buildings in Great Britain. The data framework matches gas and electricity consumption data, collected for DESNZ subnational energy consumption statistics, with information on energy efficiency measures installed in homes, from government schemes, such as the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and the Green Homes Grant. It also includes data about property attributes and household characteristics, obtained from a range of sources.

December 2021: Survey on the future of Domestic NEED - response published

In our June 2021 survey we asked for feedback to inform our development of Domestic NEED to better meet user requirements. We have reviewed responses and published our response.
