Floods destroy. Be prepared.

Almost 5 million people in England are at risk of flooding. This is only going to increase with a changing climate.

Many people think that flooding will never happen to them - but it could. December 2015 was the wettest month in England since records began in 1910. During the winter of 2015 to 2016 almost 20,000 households and businesses flooded.

There are 3 simple steps you can take to be better prepared for flooding.

  1. Check your long-term risk of flooding.

  2. Sign up for free flood warnings for your area.

  3. Create a flood plan - read the personal or business flood plan guidance.
