The workshop on \"Nanotechnology for Safe Water: Strategies and
Partnerships to Benefit the Bottom of the Pyramid\" held at India
Habitat Centre (IHC) in New Delhi on 21st April, in association with
DFID and DST, was the third and concluding workshop. It attempted to use
the learnings from the previous workshops in order to move forward and
strategize workable models to get feasible nanotechnology solutions for
water purification to the bottom of the pyramid.
This report identifies the key issues, then provides a summary of the
consultation, an introduction to the workshop, accounts of the sessions
on Nanotechnology, opportunities and challenges; Market Potential,
Service and Delivery Models; and the Role of Stakeholders, and the final
conclusions. Annexes (as separate attachments) comprise the agenda,
participants list and presentations.
