Engaging Ideas. New ways to match demand and supply of technologies. Final Report Sierra Leone.

Abstract

This report briefly describes the Engaging Ideas project conducted in Sierra Leone under the Partnership Facility. The project was based on extension methods developed under the Global Plant Clinic to bridge the gap between demand and supply of agricultural technologies.

The main activity was a workshop which set out to suggest ways in which all growers, including those in peri-urban agriculture could receive more regular advice and assistance. Details are provided in the separate workshop report. The workshop emphasised practical action: new ideas that could be tried quickly and would reveal new information

After the workshop a pilot plant health clinic was held in Waterloo, run by participants from the workshop.
