Bridging the finance gap in housing and infrastructure. India: SPARC - a Case Study on "Risk taking in urban development - a pilot case study of two shelter related projects from Mumbai, India"

Abstract

Homeless International prepared this case study in January 2000 as part of the \"Bridging the finance gap in housing and infrastructure\" research project. The paper provides in-depth analysis of two housing development projects, the findings of which fed into the process of designing the Community Led Infrastructure Finance Facility (CLIFF). CLIFF was later piloted in India with the Indian Alliance of SPARC, NSDF and Mahila Milan. For more information about the research, visit www.homeless-international.org/bfg.
