\n\nThis information is for people travelling on a full ‘British citizen’ passport from the UK. It is based on the UK government’s understanding of Nauru’s current rules for the most common types of travel.
\n\nThe authorities in Nauru set and enforce entry rules.
\n\nTo enter Nauru, your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 3 months after the date you arrive.
\n\nCheck with your travel provider that your passport and other travel documents meet requirements. Renew your passport if you need to.
\n\nYou will be denied entry if you do not have a valid travel document or try to use a passport that has been reported lost or stolen.

\n\nDo not get involved with illegal drugs of any kind. There are severe penalties including custodial sentences for drug offences.

\n\nThere is only one ATM on the island – at the Menen Hotel – and it is often out of cash. Credit cards are not accepted. Take enough Australian dollars in cash to cover your trip.

\n\nDuring the rainy season from November to May, there’s a risk of strong winds, sea swells and tropical cyclones. Monitor regional and international weather updates from the World Meteorological Organization and the Fiji Meteorological Service and check local newspapers and radio.
