You can get an electric vehicle chargepoint grant (EV chargepoint grant) to install a chargepoint at a residential property you own.
\n\nYou can get 75% off the cost of buying and installing chargepoints, up to a maximum of £500 per socket.
\n\nYou can get grants for up to 200 sockets per year. These can be across several properties or for one property.
\n\nThere’s a different way to apply for an EV chargepoint grant if you’re living in a rented property or flat.
\nYour organisation is under common control if it’s part of a group that is owned or controlled by the same person or company - for example if your organisation has one of the following:

\nChoose a chargepoint model from the list of eligible chargepoints.

Once the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) approves the application, they’ll let you and your installer know.
\n\nWhen your installer finishes the work, they will claim the grant on your behalf.
\n\nThey will give details of your chargepoint to OZEV, along with photographs of the installation and a copy of your invoice.
\n\nIf OZEV approves the claim, they will pay the grant amount to your installer.
\n\nOZEV may audit your application before it’s approved. They may also audit your installation to check that it meets the grant requirements.
\n\nThey may arrange for a site visit. If you do not allow this or do not respond to their questions, they may cancel your application.
