On 5 July 2017 The Supreme Court released their unanimous decision about disguised remuneration tax avoidance schemes used by Rangers Football Club.
The CMA has issued an infringement decision after investigating suspected anti-competitive behaviour in relation to the price at which Rangers FC-branded replica football kit was sold in the United Kingdom.
The CMA has imposed fines totalling over £2 million on Elite Sports, JD Sports and Rangers FC after they admitted to fixing the prices of certain Rangers FC merchandise.
