Where to scan your ID document for the EU Settlement Scheme

You can make an appointment to scan your ID document using the ‘EU Exit: ID Document Check’ app if you do not have access to:

  • an Android phone
  • an iPhone 7 or above

Enter your postcode to find your nearest location.

ID scanning services are unavailable at some local authorities because of coronavirus (COVID-19). Your local authority will tell you where to make an appointment to scan your ID if this is the case.

You can only use this service if you have one of the following:

  • biometric passport from an EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland
  • UK-issued biometric residence card

Otherwise you’ll need to send your documents by post.

You may have to pay a fee to use this service - the service provider you use will tell you how much it is.

The deadline to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme was 30 June 2021 for most people. You can still apply after this deadline in some cases. Check if you can still apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.
