Latest findings for maintained schools and academies inspections and outcomes official statistics:

Overall, 63% of schools inspected between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 were judged good or outstanding. This is a slight decline from the previous academic year, where 64% were good or outstanding.
On 31 August 2014 the proportion of schools judged good or outstanding at their most recent inspection reached 81%. This is the highest proportion of good or outstanding schools there has ever been.
